Re: in the market for a new floor jack, need recommedations
Have you tried to add oil to your current one? Have not tried to do maintenance (on this one). Had another (same brand and size) that was doing the same thing. No leakage, just the pump was giving up. Tried adding fluid, no luck. Expect this one is the same. 15 years (and probably older) is a prett...

in the market for a new floor jack, need recommedations
Needing a new floor jack. My current one is a Sears 3-ton unit. It is over 15 years old and is no longer extending to full height. Today while doing a tire rotation on our Escape I had to use a 4" spacer block to get it to lift the vehicle. To make it even worse while raising the jack it "lost" resi...

A reminder to change your vehicles cabin air filter
If you have a car/truck that has a cabin air filter here is a reminder to change it. I just changed the one in my Fusion. Supposed to change every 12K miles. I didn't realize how long it had been and ended up running 30K miles on this filter. YEEEIIIKES it was filthy!!!. I've been fighting sinus iss...

Re: A few questions about weed eaters
Ended up finding a used Stihl FS 94 R for a deal I couldn't pass up.
Used it this morning. What a beast, especially compared to this budget Ryobi I've been using.
Need to do a tune up (plug, air filter) and buy some Stihl oil. Also need to figure out what size trimmer line it has in it.

Re: A few questions about weed eaters
Going to check out some Echo units this wknd. Seeing lots of reviews on the Stihls having feed line issues. Plus the Echo offers a 5-year consumer warranty versus a 2-year for the Stihl.
Thanks to everyone for your input.

Re: A few questions about weed eaters
I bought this one last year. I really like the power and the "cruise control". https://m.stihlusa.com/products/trimmers-and-brushcutters/professional-trimmers/fs94r/ Curved shaft weedeaters are for short people. I looked at the FS 70 R this past wknd: https://www.stihlusa.com/products/trimmers-and-...

A few questions about weed eaters
It is time for me to buy a new weed eater. In the past years I have used inexpensive units from Sears and Home Depot (my current one is a Ryobi from HD). Neither cost more than $100 when purchased. The Ryobi is needing a new string head and the carb needs to be tuned. It is really not worth investin...

Re: WTB: Ruger 10/22
Are you looking for anything in particular in a 10/22? Breakdown, DSP, stainless, target, tacticool, whatever... Would be happy with the standard model #1103 (carbine, 18.5" barrel and wood stock). I also like the model #1256 (carbine, 18.5" barrel, synthetic stock). I'd consider other models but t...

Re: WTB: Pistol buffer tube to fit a SIG SBX brace
Was able to get to 111 GunShop today after work and picked up a tube.
First time I've seen the store since the expansion. Pretty nice.
Mods, pls close/lock thread.

WTB: Pistol buffer tube to fit a SIG SBX brace
WTB: an AR15 Pistol buffer tube (or complete kit) that will work with a SIG SBX brace. SIG specs call for a tube outer diameter of 1.0"-1.2". Many I am seeing listed/advertised list an outer diameter of 1.25" and state that they will work with the SIG brace (Phase 5, KAK, Spikes Tactical and some ot...

Got home from work tonight and one of the first things my wife said to me was "take off your work shorts"!!!
In our younger days that would have meant some fun time.
Turns out she wanted to do a load of laundry
