I have owned both and the shield is a much better fit for me. It's more comfortable to handle and carry. Very reliable and accurate for its size. Plus they are about 150 bucks cheaper than the Glock now.

I've had probably 15 different Glocks over the years and have never noticed it. Thanks for the input.

Here is the other spring ( the shorter of the 2 )

It ends up on the notch above where it's supposed to be seated.

So I picked up a Glock 21 today and didn't notice it until I got home, but the aftermarket guide rod is not staying seated against the barrel. As soon as you rack the slide it drops down slightly. It's a springco stainless steel guide rod. Any one else had similar issues. Thanks in advance.

These are great guns. I have the 6" model and I love it. One of the only guns I own that I refuse to trade off. GLWS
