I'm sure we do, but I doubt most of the people with Chargers use them for that.Ulwembu wrote:You guys don't have small caliber pistol silhouette competitions?

Re: First AR: build or buy?
I would say build insofar as building your lower and slapping on a complete upper half. If you're going to 'build' on your first, then this is the only way to go. There's more to screw up than you'd imagine. I would implore you to just save the little more and pick up a Colt 6920. The magpul versio...

Ok, Ulwembu's answer makes sense... still not sure why anyone in the US would want it over a 10/22 with a bipod, though. Anyone?

There was a chance the price was better, with the mags. Just thought I'd provide links to both the Gen3 and Gen4 that were emailed to me today.Tyler wrote:incredibly unhelpful. Has Glock fixed whatever was causing issues when the gen4's first came out?

This place is subforum crazy. Just make a 'smithing forum.Mexican Kerry wrote:Dunno. Would it be easier to just add a separate forum to include all types, or a subforum in each area? Not trying to make more work, I just like the tinkering end of it.

If it's not a part you can just replace, Cranky is good at stuff like that.

Awesome! Why'd you make this thread? :p
That's really cool, but did you need something (help locating info/parts/etc.), want to have somewhere to post about your project, or did you just want to tell us?
Cool either way, and I'm glad you were able to hang on to a family rifle.

Re: Ruger Charger
Congrats on the new pick-up. New gun day is always fun.
This is a completely genuine question for anyone able to answer, but why would you want a Ruger Charger? Looking for a legitimate conversation, not bad-mouthing the gun or your decision to buy it.

I like the idea of a glow in the dark flashlight... Firearms, not so much. Unless it's a race/gamer gun, anyway.

BCM 14.5in upper w/ permed A2 on a Spike's Tactical lower. Unfortunately it isn't mine, but I've put my fair share of rounds down range with it thanks to Matt and RWI's Tactical Carbine Courses! http://kyfirearmstraining.com/wp-content/gallery/tactical-carbine-course-january-2011/tactical-carbine-co...
