Re: Tech sights + scope?
Thanks for the responses guys. The rear tech sight mounts to the top of the receiver using the 2 rear rail mount holes. I guess you could mount a short piece of rail in front of the tech sight using the 2 front receiver holes. But you could not mount the rear sight on top of the rail without raising...

Re: "Your request times out. Please retry the request." Erro
The issue is with godaddy. 100%. Right now they're not owning up to it but there are a lot of other forums having the exact same problem, all hosted with godaddy. Coach and the other guys are negotiating with them right now to get it fixed (i.e. crouched in the bushes outside their HQ building with ...

"Your request times out. Please retry the request." Error
Just a quick note to let everyone know we are working on this. It seems to be a common issue when using this forum interface hosted on godaddy, we're not sure why. Coach is talking directly to godaddy to get it resolved. In the meantime, when you get the error, try using the back button on your brow...

Re: AR vs AK...civil discussion?
I've done this and been the DS doing the yelling lol. I always like the AR and talked bad and hated the AK owned a few but never really gave them a fair chance. I have had an AR for close to 23 years plus issued and trained on the same platform for 11 years in the Army. Ive taken lots of military c...

Re: HELP I need good anti virus
having worked on a few thousand computers I would never recommend AVG or any other free anti virus for that matter. Remember the old adage of "you get what you pay for"... I know a lot of people say they have used avg and never got a virus but it is more likely they have used AVG and never known th...

Re: Tech sights + scope?
Does the rear tech sight mount to a rail without mods, or would I need to tap new screw holes through the rail and receiver? It looks like they line up with the holes in the receiver.

Tech sights + scope?
Hoping someone with tech sight exp can answer this. On a 10/22, would it be possible to mount a rail, have the rear tech sight mounted to the rail, then use a see through scope mount and put a scope on it too?

I've used this- if it's the same "recipe". My sister gave us some, wife is pretty nitpicky about stuff like that and didn't want to try it. I finally got her to give it a shot and it won her over, we used the whole bucket. I'm glad you posted this, I need to make some more!

Re: 1 month food supply
I actually love MREs, always have. But I've never lived on them for months either. Longest deployment when I was in the AF was at Incirlik AB in Turkey, we'd grill steak dinners for army guys coming through in exchange for their issued MREs. Nothing better for camping, but they're way too expensive ...
