‘Range USA’ … dang, I guess inflation is why?
I stopped into the new rebranded Range USA in Middletown - formerly Shoot Point Blank for a quick 1/2 hour of shooting. I haven’t been here in a while, last year sometime, and I believe I paid $7 for 1/2 hours in the middle of the day…
This time it was $16 bucks for the 1/2 hour and a ‘one time’ $6 annual charge range fee. I doubt I’ll go back anytime soon.

I'm a fan of American Shooters Clarksville. Been shooting there a couple years. They charge $23 to shoot but it's not per hour. 23 bucks and you shoot until your done or they close. I pay $400/yr for an unlimited shooting membership. Same basic thing as Range USA without a big overpriced gun shop.

Only in guns you rent. I get that, don’t want someone renting a gun and shooting their own shitty reloads in it.Dave1965 wrote:went to range usa a few months ago. other issue is that you have to shoot their ammo....naw
It’s the closest range to me unfortunately so that’s where I usually end up.

It’s not the closest one to me, but I still go there occasionally because I like it better than Louisville Armory which is where I usually go. But knob creek is closest and cheapest. I hardly ever go there.ssracer wrote:Only in guns you rent. Check out the distance to American Shooters Clarksville. It's closer to me in Okolona than Range USA is and better than the Armory and equidistant to me from KCR.iron369 wrote: ↑Sun Jan 15, 2023 3:14 pmIt’s not the closest one to me, but I still go there occasionally because I like it better than Louisville Armory which is where I usually go. Re: ‘Range USA’ … dang, I guess inflation is why?
I went there (Shooter's Roost) a few times years ago and same older guy was there every time. He was very nice. Showed me around the first time I was there and let me know the basic rules. I think the lady Dave was probably talking about was there once when I was there and was a bitch to me also.
They used to have a rimfire/shotgun 3gun league. I shot it once and had fun. I didn't know it was going on so one of the guys shooting let me borrow their shotgun and gave me shells. Wouldn't let me pay him for them or swap ammo. I only brought a few guns, 22/45 and 10/22 were in that lineup I'm sure...haha No clue if it's still open or not though.

I had the same thing happen to me at buds. Range nazi said that’s his brass. He takes home what people leave.Dave1965 wrote:went there once years ago with my wife, pretty deserted but the lady was quick to yell at me (and I mean yell) as I was picking up my brass "ONLY PICK UP YOUR SPENT BRASS!!!"
