*** KAC Cookout and Shoot Dec 19th 2020 ***
This post will be updated as needed so please check periodically.
*** Post in this thread if you plan on coming and how many others you may/will bring. The list below will be updated as needed ***
Mark your calendars, the range in New Haven (Lincoln Trail Fish and Game Club) has been reserved for KAC on 12/19/20
KAC Members as well as non members are welcome to come.
You are also allowed to bring guests but be aware they will be your responsibility.
All range rules will be enforced.
*** Start Time: 11:00 Saturday Dec 19th.
End Time: Whatever
Place: Lincoln Trail Fish and Game Club/New Haven Gun Club
Albert Willett Lane
New Haven KY 40051
Range website: http://lincolntrailfishgame.wix.com/lincoln-trail
Google maps link for those who have never been there before
Just zoom in and out as needed.
https://www.google.com/maps/@37.6583778 ... a=!3m1!1e3
* Shoot fee is $10 per person due at sign in upon arriving to cover the $150 range reserve fee.
-----------
There is a fully equipped kitchen for reheating/keeping warm/cooking food in the clubhouse
If you are bringing food and/or drinks and snacks post here ---> Link to come
There is a wood fired grill at the range.
-----------
*** If shooting it may be useful to bring a tarp to catch your empties, you are required to police your brass at the range.
*** As far as targets you mostly bring your own. Also you may want to bring your own target stands, occasionally there are stands left at the range but you can't count on it.
*** Sorry no tannerite/exploding and glass targets allowed at the range. ***
*** No political signs as targets.***
* Also depending on what you're bringing it may be useful to bring a table, there are racks but they can fill up fast. I myself bring a folding 5ft table which can be bought at most dept stores and will fit into just about any size car.
*** Sell table
Members often bring items for sale and place them on a table in the clubhouse.
**** All range and safety rules apply, no exceptions *****
**** Be aware there is no official Range Officer (RO) at the range but that does not mean the above will not be enforced. If you spot an unsafe practice shout out.
**** Cold/Hot range will be observed as needed. ****
**** No alcohol please. (Despite the fact there's a coke machine in the clubhouse filled with beer ) ****
**** There is a locked gate to the range with a combo lock. If by chance you get there before me or anyone else who knows the combination, just hang on a little bit and I or someone will be along shortly to unlock the gate. The gate will be left open during the shoot.

There are criminals among us who are both homicidal and incorrigible. Their parents took a shot at civilizing them and failed. Their school teachers took a shot at them and failed. The odds are overwhelming that government welfare programs and penal institutions took a shot at them and failed. If it ever becomes your turn to take a shot at them, don’t fail.

That's the weekend before Christmas so it's a definite no for me. I'll still be at work at 11 and will be back at work at 7PM.
You guys have fun.

Shame about you coming down with a fever and cough that day. You better stay home for a week or two just to be safe.

Sorry Jerry about the cookout date being so close to Christmas. Date choices were becoming limited.

I’m just curious, why no political signs for targets ? They are great for that purpose

I'm pretty sure it's a misdemeanor to take or deface campaign signs.jollyrodgers wrote:I’m just curious, why no political signs for targets ? They are great for that purpose

I do agree they are great target holders though (when legally acquired...haha).

That and it's just not a good idea anyway especially If someone posts photos somewhere, that could bring publicity the range and I would rather not have to deal with. The media is not our friend and don't think they're not looking for things like this.Niceguy wrote: ↑Fri Nov 13, 2020 9:41 amI'm pretty sure it's a misdemeanor to take or deface campaign signs.jollyrodgers wrote:I’m just curious, why no political signs for targets ? Spray paint over them. I think that's what KCR request.WLJ wrote: ↑Fri Nov 13, 2020 9:45 amThat and it's just not a good idea anyway especially If someone posts photos somewhere, that could bring publicity the range and I would rather not have to deal with.
