Re: Underarmor WTF
Sorry, but that is a major insult to our WWII vetrans, especially those marines who raised the flag on Iwo Jima. This is in extremely poor taste and is not something I would have expected from a company like UA.

I get it. Establish a sport somewhere that doesn't have an activity. The idea is good, however the route they took is in extremely poor taste.

Respect in this country went down the shitter. I'm sure you guys wouldn't mind wearing that in front of any WWII vet and not give a shit.

Here's the thing, I don't believe the person who made this shirt means to belittle the reference and is actually paying homage to it. If there is a person with a "real" problem against this shirt then they better take a step back and understand this country is founded on freedom of speech and expression. Any honest vet should enjoy living in this country and be proud they fought so that people could express themselves and be an individual not living under a dictator. That's just my .02 though.Toddstang wrote:Respect in this country went down the shitter. I'm sure you guys wouldn't mind wearing that in front of any WWII vet and not give a shit.

They stopped the sale of this shirt already. That didn't take long. That said, it didn't bother me.

Re: Underarmor WTF
I see nothing wrong with this shirt what so ever. Because its not a flag being raised and its not soliders. This is a basketball hoop being lifted by some basketball players. UA didn't disrespect any Vets by doing this shirt. In fact I find it to be a good marketing promotion for basketball players. Some folks in here need to stop wearing their emotions on their sleeves and stop thinking that Vets are being disrespected. In short-start acting like men instead of a cry baby. Someone wrote that it was freedom of speech and I agree with that statement 100%. UA is not about disrespecting anyone here in America, which I love and will defend with my life
Kill em all and let God sort them out! <===== What a keyboard Commando like me would say. Mostly because I am frustrated with my lack of success with life.

Re: Underarmor WTF
Yea, because veterans who fought in that war opinions don't matter.
Fuck that!
My dad's medals earned during that war aren't a joke if you ask me.
