Forgive my ignorance, but what makes it a Glock AR? The magazine type? Looks great. Merely curious.

How much did the lower set you back? I wish I had thought of that when I built mine.

Ar9 specific lowers will be in either colt style or glock style. From what I have seen anyways. Some like the glock due to compatibility of the mags with other firearms owned. Some don't like the glock lowers due to the cant of the mags in the lower receiver.

$140ish

That's not bad at all. I wish I had went that way when I built mine then. I'd say it's a whole lot more sturdy than the mag block and Colt mags that mine runs.

quartercircle 10 is just releasing one that works with MP5 mags as well.

Is there any benefits to using a mp5 mag over a Glock mag? Can't imagine there would be.

In theory--since the 9mm is a tapered cartridge--a curved magazine should function more reliably. In practice, straight mags work fine.

The only tangible benefit I can think of is they look cooler.

From the threads I have read on the HKpro site the curved Springs produce a stronger feed. In the 40 S&W and 10mm MP5 mags the springs are wider and therefore don't need to be curved.
Failure rate in MP5 straight mags were low but the Germans wanted perfection.

how is the recoil? Compared to sub2k or Hi Point carbine? - I think you've had both of those...

The Sub2k has a fair amount of recoil considering it's just a 9mm.

Very cool build. I have a feeling that this is going to cost me. Now I want one. I was looking for an idea for my next build. I have a Sig brace on my 10.5 inch 223 pistol. I might try another tube on something like this and move the brace between the 2. Ideas already churning...
I was only going to build one...
