Tennessee Arms polymer receiver with my Fire Department logo engraved into the magwell. The upper is a DPMS and the barrel is an 11.5 inch chrome lined DPMS with a permenent attached flash hider.
A retro M16a1 build like I learned to shoot in basic in 1983.
I still need an A1 grip and stock.
I was only going to build one...

Re: The Black Rifle/Pistol Pic Thread
just finished this one up after a few months of gathering parts. I traded for some stuff, and caught really good deals like Cyber Monday sales, so it's quite the budget build; but probably ended up the nicest AR I've had so far!
All Anderson Manufacturing except the barrel. Went with a Ballistic Advantage 14 3/4", QPQ coated mid-length pencil (A2 FH perm. attached) and had them attach A2 FSB; Magpul Stealth Grey stock, grip, handguards, AFG, rear sight, rail section (waiting for a light); Blue Force Sling, Bushnell TRS25 on hi-rise.
Short, light and handy.

Re: The Black Rifle/Pistol Pic Thread
...need a small, inexpensive light to go on that rail. Recommendations?
My one and only good light is my circa 1997 Surefire 6Z...rode my belt for 15+ years, now sits on the nightstand; haven't looked at lights since then except some UTG stuff...

What's your budget?kokopelli wrote:...need a small, inexpensive light to go on that rail. Recommendations?

I would highly recommend just the base model Inforce WML, it's about $120. If you catch them on sale I've seen them for $100 on occasion. They have several models, but all you should need is the momentary/on.

Re: The Black Rifle/Pistol Pic Thread
Switched up my AR a bit with parts I had laying around and picked up a newer, slimmer, and a lot lighter rail today. MI keymod slim style. Under it is a KAK Ind slim flash can.
