Looking for a matt synthetic stock restorer

Post by WLJ » Tue Oct 29, 2013 7:16 am

Looking for a restorer for a black synthetic stock that's not paint. Got an old FAL stock that is looking more grey than black.
Everything I keep finding gives the stock a gloss sheen, looking for something more on matt side of things.

thanks.
There are criminals among us who are both homicidal and incorrigible. Their parents took a shot at civilizing them and failed. Their school teachers took a shot at them and failed. The odds are overwhelming that government welfare programs and penal institutions took a shot at them and failed. If it ever becomes your turn to take a shot at them, don’t fail.

No idea
Maybe four ought steel wool with black shoe polish to rub into stock?

Or #2 steel wool or a red scotch brite pad.

Have you considered having the stock blasted? This will give it a matte finish. If you are unhappy with it, you could then always have it Cerakoted in any color/sheen you like. We'd be glad to help with this as we do offer these services. http://www.meridianordnance.com
