Will use Duracoat/laquer stick
Which is as permeant as I can get at the price point I am using.
We are not talking magic here
You take a fill material and either rub it in or spray it in with a airbrush and a stencil.
Or if you have super steady hands free hand.

red
white
tactical brown
coyote brown
black, matt and gloss
stainless steel
gray
barney pink
electric green
olive drab
h/k black

tiger stripe green
tiger stripe brown

and these all blend

red ,white, gold & back lacquer sticks

gold and silver metallic fill

and a bunch of tester/acrylic colors.

I guess that is about it that I can recall

what point is it to have a cool engraving if you cant see it?
fill mine as well.

If you can do like the badger factory the. 10-4 I want mine done as well.

i'm thinking of cerkoting in tan or fde and leaving the badger in the black outline as well as all the fire controls markings.

That's pretty much my plan, FDE lower/upper and color fill in CB.
