I bid on a stainless revolver in .38, thinking it was a smith at Lotus' auction. It was actually made by Rohm and was quite the piece of shit. Pot metal, cylinder unscrewed itself little by llittle with every shot. Lesson learned: pay attention to what you're bidding on.

Hmmmm....I haven't generally bought or shot POS guns.....with one exception....my first AR build....blackthorn FTL

Let me show you some of their quality...

Barrel that was poorly cut for taper pins, gas port welded shut, rotated and a new port drilled
Image

Gas block didn't seal good....this blowback is only after a few hundred rounds
Image

The ear that I had to finish milling just to get it to fit in the upper
Image

And there was a nice groove in the chamber......NEVER BUY FROM BLACKTHORN

Got to the point that it wouldn't eject and every case had to be knocked out with a cleaning rod

Jennings 380. I paid $70 for it NIB from Rays and I dont think the gun ever was able to empty a whole mag without jamming.

Jennings. 25 it might as well be single shot, you have to manually rack it after every shot, would love to have a smith make it run right...

Mossberg pump. It shot, but it's construction was horrible. Not sure what model, that was years ago

Charles Daley 1911 .45acp. Constant jams, the machine work looked to be done in someones garage with Harbor Frieght tooling. I traded for it, then sold it. Used several brands of mags to no avail. I even tinkered with the extractor, nothing worked. JUNK!!

Made someone a great single shot 1911.
(I explained the issues before selling btw, the guy said he liked a project)

The only POS I ever bought was a Raven .25. It actually ran well, and the only reason I bought it, was because my first wife wouldn't carry anything else and she worked in a part of Houston that I worried about her safety constantly. We got lucky and she never had to use it, but I (or she) tested it every time I went to shoot, because I never could bring myself to trust it, even though she did.

Back then, there weren't any real choices for a compact 9mm, & she hated .380's because of a prejudice of her father's, so I was kind of backed into a corner. I wanted her to carry a PPK in the worst way, but her hands weren't strong enough to rack it properly.

Yes, I used to worry about her, a lot. Then, God made that a moot point and called her home. I still have it, but it hasn't been shot since she passed away.

I bought a first run Taurus TCP that damn near fell apart in my hand after firing the 17th round. Sent it back to the factory, got it back in 2 weeks, went to the range and this time it fired and stayed together but would only extract about every third round. Sent it back to the factory, got it back - same thing. This was back when .380 was scarce as hen teeth, so I tried every brand I could find but never found a flavor it liked. I've seen some good Taurus guns, but I hate that thing wherever it is.

SIG P250, bought it used and it had a broken firing pin obviously. Never ever ever had a broken firing pin on a gun, much less a fairly new one.

Jimenez arms 9 mm, not mine but it was my buddies. It jammed more than it shot, I never could get through a full mag without a jam. Bought new for under 300 and he sold it to his cousin for 200, his cousin broke it trying to clean it for the first time lol. It was a pos for sure, but as for myself I don't buy junk. I try to research and buy right the first time.

Only pos gun I have shot was a 500 pump. it would lock up and we had to bang it to rack it

I owned a hi point c9 bought it for 50 bucks because it would not feed. Took some pliers and fixed the mags. After 1000 rounds sold it for 140 haha.

I would have to a Hi Point, [not my personal firearm] it wasn't very accurate, the triiger was real gritty and felt like crap! And the slide was as big as a red brick lol! I guess you get what you pay for, spent 150 bucks on a pistol and you get a pistol worth 75 bucks lol!

Taurus PT92. Years ago. First trip to the range broke the firing pin and slide was jammed half open. Had to send it to the factory that way. Weeks later got it back went to shoot it and the damn thing would not eject fired casing. Back to the factory.

Sold it when it came back without another round through it. Swore off Taurus all together until recently. Got a few of their revolvers. No problems, so far, with those.

It was a 9mm my stepbrother had purchased. I think it was a Jennings? I have the pieces somewhere upstairs. I say pieces, because when we were at the range firing it (well, him firing it... I refused to touch it...), the slide literally snapped in half. The just cracked, and sent the front half of the slide (along with the recoil spring and guide rod) shooting downrange. It was the most absurd sight.

Anyway, I learned the real definition of garbage that day.
