I've never had good luck on opening day. My hunting partner doesn't even bother going out opening weekend anymore unless I drag him out, and I might stop doing it. No weekend hunting for me this year.

Had the smaller of the big 2 in my sights today. Decided to pass in hopes for the bigger one. He didn't show, lots of shots near me I hope he made it today.

Yep! I know that's why I'm coming on the 26th. Can't make it this weekend. Wish I had some vacation days left this year I would burn one and come out during the week. But none left. Next year I will plan a few vacation days into deer season.
