How to cut foam in a plastic pistol case???
I've got a 1911 that I want to store/transport in a hardshell case (Plano, MTM, etc.).
What can I use to CLEANLY cut the foam for the outline of the pistol and a few magazines?? I think I remember a reference to using a hot wire???
Thanks,
BK

God made man.
Samuel Colt made all men equal.
John M. Browning and the 1911 made some men more equal than others.

Not exactly the same foam, I'm sure. But, this was done with a soldering iron. The good thing about a soldering iron is that you don't have to cut all the way through the foam. Most of the hot wire cutters, I suspect, would have to cut through the foam.
