Don't you guys worry. I like the new Corvettes and they are fast as hell and look great. But, they made more Corvettes last year than they have made Vipers since they have been in production every year combined. Yeah I know the feeling. When I'm at a light and another guy pulls up in a minivan similar to mine. The coolness factor drops slightly. That's why I got tint and cat decals on the windows to prove dominance.Rext wrote:Don't you guys worry. I like the new Corvettes and they are fast as hell and look great. Come on Jack! Leaf Springs on a sports car? Out of all the sports cars i would never buy a vette. It will go fast.....in a straight line, but good luck staying on the road in the turns.jackalo626 wrote:You've been huffing too much paint brother. The latest do still employ a fiberglass mono leaf mounted transversely to help with anti roll...but it's hardly a solid axel car with traditional leaf spring suspension. And the new Z06 can pull 1.2 lateral G....your arguments are invalidRem700 wrote:Come on Jack! Leaf Springs on a sports car? Out of all the sports cars i would never buy a vette. Re: Crazy Dodge Viper obsession
Ah right. This calls for a KAC race. A no holds barred, bring what ya got. The race will consist of how many grocery bags/car seats fit, cornering at the pickup/drop-off lane at school, most accurate cruise control at 65, and the hardest test of them all. The dreaded miles per gallon.
This will separate the men from the broken downtrodden husbands.

I was worried at first, but after reading the criteria I'm in...I may lose a little in space to the minivans, but I got you in the low speed cornering....Toecutter1978 wrote:Ah right. Re: Crazy Dodge Viper obsession
Lol guess im out of the loop on the new stuff. I just remember the guy that lived next to my old boss was all about vettes. Mostly classics but every once in a while he would get a newer one in to fix up and sell off and he was always bitching about how the leaf springs were shit and made Chevy look stupid compared to other sports cars.ssracer wrote:The latest do still employ a fiberglass mono leaf mounted transversely to help with anti roll...but it's hardly a solid axel car with traditional leaf spring suspension. 1. Grocery bag must be filled with actual items, not balloons or fluff
2. Car seats can include those booster seats for older children(or midgets) however if vehicle is equipped with harness restraints, they must be used for car seats, so no doubling up on a bench seat made for two.
3. Any school, better on Friday afternoons which are the busiest. If you don't have any kids(go borrow some)
4. We need Mike and his speed gun for the cruise portion.
5. Owners manual fuel data will not work. Set location from Roosters to Roosters with a full tank. Loser buys wings.
Uh, that's all I can think of.
