Re: Nelson County vs Jefferson County
Arena total waste wtf???? The ncaa former Champs bring a lot of revenue here and people love to watch them. Plus if you haven't been it is the nicest ncaa basketball around period. It would even be a good pro arena. We have huge concerts there that bring lots of revenue as well. Waste, no way.son of liberty wrote:I have stopped going to Louisville at all, I might get there 2 times a year. Florence is where we go when I cant buy it online, it is a couple of miles farther for me, but they got traffic figured out so its still takes 15 minutes less. Louisville on the other hand is in a constant state of screwing traffic up , and even then there long term solution is like 40 years behind the curve. They built the new arena that is a total waste, sure its a nice place but it should be for what you are paying for it. Now they are ruining Oldham county as well, when I moved here crestwood had 2 stop signs, now look at what a cluster it is, more of that Louisville road planning department. The traffic is so bad people be killing each other over it.jackalo626 wrote:Tisk tisk, where do people come for malls, football games, baseball games, college, basketball games, soccer, thunder over Louisville, etc? Sure as hell aren't going to thunder over Nelson county....nerds lol.Niceguy wrote:Makes sense, since Jefferson Co is the rectum of the state...hahajackalo626 wrote:We literally will poop on Nelson County.rustynuts wrote:Chicken shit, Jack.
Ya the traffic is really my only complaint, that and the liberal agenda.

We are a huge city 16th largest not long ago (I don't know # today) so of course there is traffic lol. You guys act like these small counties have better traffic flow. They don't they just have a handful of people driving on them.

I'll be here all week and twice on fridays. Shirts will be for sale at the door.
Re: Nelson County vs Jefferson County
I went straight there from work at 4:30 , (one time) , on the last day of Feb.. They were open until 6:00.
I got up to the counter a little past 8:00. The lady started keying the first one in and all the computers CRASHED !! So that held me up another twenty minutes. She finally said come back in the morning and cut line and they wouldn't make me wait.
Another time they had so many people waiting that the numbers went past 99 and started over. So when they called a certain number they had two people try to go . Come to find out the tickets with the numbers have a colored stripe through them . With ten clerks that hadn't caught onto the color change yet, they kept calling numbers without colors for awhile and pissing more people off . I stayed awhile to see how fast they were moving and see any good fights . It was just a lot of confusion and yelling , so yet again I left and came back another day.

Re: Nelson County vs Jefferson County
I don't know where Louisville Metro came up with the "16th largest city in the US" when they merged. They never have been, not on any list that I've ever seen. They're 28th. That's METRO, not just Louisville proper.
Twenty eighth.

Was probably some board meeting many years ago, someone said, "Heck, if we combine, I bet we would be like the 16th largest city in America!"
And no one ever bothered to check. Kind of embarrassing.

Hey, hey, hey, let's not cloud the debate with factual facts. Uncalled for.rustynuts wrote:Was probably some board meeting many years ago, someone said, "Heck, if we combine, I bet we would be like the 16th largest city in America!"

It was on a sign man I just know we are a big city. In other news I'm going to sue the city for false advertisement and every body here gets a new AR and a case of ammo.Gunsmokin wrote:Hey, hey, hey, let's not cloud the debate with factual facts. And I do love the fact that I knew you were going to say that. That's why I included the second link below it. I could have added a third, fourth or fifth too, and Louisville still wouldn't have been the 16th largest.jackalo626 wrote:I do love you used Wikipedia as a factual based website though ftl lolrustynuts wrote:Was probably some board meeting many years ago, someone said, "Heck, if we combine, I bet we would be like the 16th largest city in America!"

I've lived in big cities -- New York, San Fransisco, LA, Houston, Dallas, Denver, Atlanta -- and Louisville is not a big city. Any city you can drive through on the interstate in ten minutes is not a big city.
Sorry.
Sorry.

You don't need to sell me on them being bigger. I'm well traveled as well but you can't tell me Louisville is a small city either.rustynuts wrote:I've lived in big cities -- New York, San Fransisco, LA, Houston, Dallas, Denver, Atlanta -- and Louisville is not a big city. I don't have a problem with traffic in Louisville. I know how to drive. You gotta drive like you're from the area. Like a prick.

Well, it's bigger than Charleston, West Virginia anyway.jackalo626 wrote:You don't need to sell me on them being bigger.
