Yea, we might get a 8-18" or just a flurry.

But look at the Thursday and Friday morning low with this snowpack. -11 and -5 here in Hodgenville. Get ready for the cold.

There was a lot of people at the grocery store buying bread and milk.

Looks like it may be some overtime for me here in northern ky... chief is gonna call around 5pm to give us a final word on it. Thankfully I'll be in a chase car or riding as a passenger and not driving a squad or engine around in the white death!

That was funny. It was totally scripted and never aired on tv. But funny.

Now they're calling for 8-12 for Louisville with some models showing it going even higher.

As I understand it, that whole bit started because a live reporter did not realize he was live and was talking shit about a missing woman. He lost his job because of it.

WINTER STORM WARNING for all of Kentuckiana this evening until Monday night

Snow is now breaking out over portions of Northern Missouri as a disturbance moving in from the west begins to hit moisture coming in from the Gulf of Mexico. This disturbance will eventually form an area of low pressure in Texas this evening that rides through the Gulf Coast states through the day on Monday. This is our winter storm. Snow enters the region after midnight tonight and falls heavily at times through Monday. The Monday morning commute will be a challenge since a couple of inches of snow may already be on the ground by that time along the Ohio River with snow-covered roads. The heaviest of the snow falls from mid morning to the afternoon, putting down 8-12” in Louisville, 4-8” for areas of Southern Indiana north of Scottsburg, and more than a foot south of the Bluegrass and Western Kentucky Parkways. There is still some data pointing at even higher totals, especially along the river so we need to watch that tonight and make adjustments if this trend holds. Travel during most of Monday will be dangerous or impossible at times as snow falls on a very cold ground, so cold that even salt and brine may not be quite as effective on the roads as usual. Make final preparations this evening in case you cannot venture out on Monday. This may very well be the biggest snowstorm we’ve seen south of the Ohio River since the late 1990s. Snow tapers off late Monday night, around midnight. Cold temperatures and snow showers are the story for Tuesday as highs only reach into the upper 20s after a morning spent in the single digits. Expect even colder air and more snow showers for Wednesday with highs in the teens and overnight lows just below zero in Louisville. Thursday morning may be the coldest we’ve had in over a decade here in the city as our forecast takes us down to -10 degrees. We’ll start a bit of a warming trend by the end of this week with another snow chance that may include some rain depending on the track of the system.
