Good. More competition for Cabellas.

That Outer Loop store will be pretty convenient for me, compared to Cabela's and Bass Pro.

Same but I always liked Cabelas the best out of them all.

Middletown is right offGene Synder. Very smart move on their part. Looks like other businesses are moving into that AO also.

Never been to an Academy, so can't compare. I guess I will soon. Friday.

looking forward to having another sporting goods place in town. competition is a good thing for the consumer. hoping their prices are reasonable to start.

I'm thinking Dick's is in deep trouble now that Acadamy is in town. Dick's prices are going to have to come down to be competetive.

If Academy is priced like back in Texas, then yeah Dick's will either have to lower or go under. Wonder how it will affect Quest?

Dicks and Quest are over priced.

Quest has the "almost serious camper" market to itself, dicks is the one drifting between markets. Academy has a broader range of goods for both occasional and serious sporter. I think they're going to impact Cabellas or bass pro sales more, dicks is just gonna put themselves out.

I like Quest, but every time I usually go there, especially the one in the Summit I get the one guy that thinks he knows more. I laugh to myself.

I heard that REI is thinking about a store near the Louisville market. Now that is some serious competition.

I haven't been in an REI since I moved back here 18 years ago.

They're coming in to win then. 3 locations opening up fast. Yeah Dick's will be hurting

I hope both are successful here. One Academy bringing prices down to reasonable rates, Dick's start caring about customers. I know I'll go see what's happening at the Middletown store Friday.

I still love cabelas. A lot. If rei opens up here I'll have no reason to visit any place else.
