Mac 9
Saw this Cobray listed on Face book for sale.
I was curious, I am assuming based upon the price $385.00 that this is a semi-auto gun.
All the semi's I have seen do not have stocks.
Would this be considered a SBR?
The barrel extension screws right off.
Is it permissible with the extension?

Re: Mac 9
Yeah semi auto, stock is an add on, if the barrel extension can be screwed off it's an SBR. either lose the stock or solder on the extension.
I had one of these- P. O. S. Could not get it to run no matter what.
Cool gun, just needs a lot of fine tuning.

Re: Mac 9
I have seen those referred to as rifles so I presume the barrel extension is NOT removable (specifically referenced as a rifle in an ad that is) made by masterpiece arms as shown below...price seems to be a deal.

Re: Mac 9
Sorry, but my Cobray M11/9 runs like a sewing machine and always has (30 years and still counting). The only weak link is the plastic mags, which I refuse to use, mine are all steel and work perfectly. Mine may be the exception, but it's a damned fine exception. Enough so, that I invested in a Bowers CAC-9 suppressor for it, the only dedicated can I own.

Unless it a full auto. I dont have much need for one.

Yeah, I think the bad ones are the semis.Wyldman wrote:Sorry, but my Cobray M11/9 runs like a sewing machine and always has (30 years and still counting). My MAC 10-45acp is fully auto and runs like a champ.
Grease gun mags are good-to-go with it.
Never had a issue with this gun.

Re: Mac 9
Just so there is no misunderstanding, I cannot afford full auto anything, not even a MAC. Mine is a semi-auto Cobray, but will still run as fast as I can cycle it, even with a Hell-fire trigger-crank, which I have only experimented with a friend's, never bought for myself.
It's just a lowly POS Cobray, but it's mine & it does what it's supposed to, surprisingly well, especially for a 30 year old stamped sheet metal $200 "POS". It makes a hell of a street sweeper & will for damned certain make the bad guys keep their heads down, running for cover all the way.
