Re: MATH JOKE!!!
But! KY- what you are saying would be correct if the equation had actual values, say xy/zy then you would be left with x/y.

Not quite right, xy/zy = x/z not x/yChickenlady wrote:But! KY- what you are saying would be correct if the equation had actual values, say xy/zy then you would be left with x/y.

Chickenlady wrote:Look here buddy, the joke is funny!kyswede wrote:Actually the joke is wrong. Should be sin(gerine) / cos = tangerine
As is it written, the 2 gerines would cancel and the answer would be "tan".
But, while I get what you are saying the joke is still tech correct in my opinion. If I have sinx/cosx it will equal tanx because the x is the tech just an angle that is arbitrary. In this case the (gerine) would be an arbitrary angle and you would still be left with a (gerine) at the end since we would be left with some form of (gerine) as a final angle of tan.

LOL on that one I am wrong! Go me!kyswede wrote:Not quite right, xy/zy = x/z not x/yChickenlady wrote:But! KY- what you are saying would be correct if the equation had actual values, say xy/zy then you would be left with x/y.
I always hated when I would run out of "normal" letters in math - x y or z and had to start using g or f or i or h that shit annoyed the hell out of me
