Sounds like a traffic stop gone bad because the officer entered the suspects info in his log before whatever happened happened . Father is saying the son isnt @ home . K9 units tracking from the scene . ( sounds like he wasnt home like his dad said )If you have an analog scanner lmpd has 1 channel left on there . 481.7000 . No idea of officers condition . I believe this took place around 26 & Chestnut .

They are switching to some channels i cant recieve on this app & my scanner . I now think it happened on Magazine st. . They have set up perimeters around there and the hospital . K9 is still looking for a black male ,25 with dreadlocks , white shirt & blue jeans . Currently tracking from an alley where the subject tripped & fell . Wife has arrived @ the hospital . Parents in route .

Ok they've pretty much cleared the channels i get of emergency tones & traffic & gone to other channels . The helicopter has shown up to help w the search .If i do hear anything else I'll pass it on . I should also say i didnt hear the officers partner say he had been shot . i just assumed from the urgency in his voice & the way he was yelling that that is what happend & jumped to that conclusion . . So i could be wrong .

23d & Magazine is where it happened . Officer shot in the chest but is in stable condition . The officers name is Kyle Crawley . Suspect still @ large .
It wasnt a traffic stop . Apparently he had arrested the pos before & went to talk to the guy & he took off running which lead to a foot chase & being shot .
