Re: What did you pick up today?
I can't say I've ever had any lube related issues, regardless of what I've used (aside from the dudes at the range using a metric assgallon on the SAWs at Benning)... but I've only used CLP, WeaponShield, and SLiP2000. The little pen oiler is the shit, it fits in a B5 SOPMOD Enhanced storage tube. It makes sure the rifle ALWAYS has lube available, even if I forget a range bag or to put the lube in the range bag.

$60 (sub .06 cents a round)
My LGS has it, gives me a little discount because I buy a lot from him, not like these idiots who walk in off the street trying to get .22 and to never be seen again. Funny thing is that I stop there every day and can buy some every day but it takes him forever to move it to others. It has been sitting there two days and he hasn't sold any except to me..and he has a lot of regulars.

I've had good experiences with a lot of stuff, but the EWL was something I tried because of the warranty on some drum magazines I had, not 1 issue with so far.Whootsinator wrote:I can't say I've ever had any lube related issues, regardless of what I've used (aside from the dudes at the range using a metric assgallon on the SAWs at Benning)... but I've only used CLP, WeaponShield, and SLiP2000. Heck,... I've heard that engine oil is good too,... and I don't doubt it.

Re: What did you pick up today?
How many guns do you think take the continuous amount of heat cycles, repetitive movements and general wear and tear an engine does? An engine turning 5000 rpm, the pistons travel up and down 83.333 times per second. That's really my mild considering my R6's redlined at 16,500 rpm's putting the pistons up and down 275 times per second. They're lots of engines with over 500,000 miles on them without any internals replaced. Engine oil is some pretty amazing shit when you think about it...haha Add part trans fluid and you have a pretty good cleaner/lube also.plumber_bob wrote:I've had good experiences with a lot of stuff, but the EWL was something I tried because of the warranty on some drum magazines I had, not 1 issue with so far.Whootsinator wrote:I can't say I've ever had any lube related issues, regardless of what I've used (aside from the dudes at the range using a metric assgallon on the SAWs at Benning)... but I've only used CLP, WeaponShield, and SLiP2000. Re: What did you pick up today?
Picked up 3 new sports coats/blazers by Ralph L. today at Macy's and 2 MK ties for a total of $115
They had a greater sale than I thought, figured it was going to be about $200 and it was just over 100.

Re: What did you pick up today?
A highly tuned SP-01 Tactical:
The CZ75 fits my hand like no other gun ever made, but the stock trigger on most of them--to be polite--sucks, stacking in double action, with a hefty dose of creep and/or grit in single action. I finally bit the bullet and placed an order with the incomparable CZ wizard David Milam of Cajun Gun Works and settled in for a 12 week wait.
When I got home I loaded up some magazines and headed out back to ring some steel.
I'll spare everyone the details, but suffice it to say it's dead nuts accurate and shoots like a dream. It's been a while since I've been really excited about a gun, but I'm like a kid at Christmas.
