I liked my bikes but it's hard to smoke a good cigar and ride a bike. If I get another bike it will be a HD bagger of some sort. That'll be a while. Momma wants a Mercedes so that will be first without a doubt. I'll prolly drive her Acura. My old s10 is on its last leg. It needs so much plus it doesn't have a/c. :(

I guess if fast is all your looking for you could get a Vega and put a 454 with twin turbos and make it fast but you still drive a vega. My point is that people who spend big money on a car aren't only worried about its 1/4 mile times. They like the big brakes, styling, exclusivity, etc that comes with a car that people in their end of town don't have or have many of. I don't understand the Internet hate of GTR's though really because it's funny how many people talk shit about them that drive a car that I could buy with my lunch money. It's a v6 that keeps up with super cars that are way higher priced so it gives an opening to the more median guys salary. It is putting out a big hp number per ci and is very reliable.

I'd consider the GTR a supercar myself. Like you said, it's an exclusive bunch that own them. For the record, I don't have a problem with the GTR or even Nissan. I'd like to have a second gen 240sx. I'd auto cross the hell out of it.

Yeah I looked for a 240 and was wanting to actually swap an LS into it and have a semi-sleeper. Of all things that proves I like American motors lol. Just didn't want to tinker on it and dump money into a fixer upper and in the end have a $15,000 90's model 240 regardless of how fast. Custom always mean special care and challenges. I wanted reliable daily fun and I got it. I saw two gtr's at water by the bridge car show that were modded but not sure who owns them.

I like the GTR's though my big ass would barely fit in one. I usually buy cars based on how well I fit inside them. I really dont care about going fast, now that I've had a big diesel truck I probably wont go back to a car again.

And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

I've been helping a friend swap a ls1 into a fox body mustang. It's coming along nicely.

240z with Chevy POWA! vs Yamaha R1 just to add to the mix.
A cop stopped me on the street and said "we're looking for a mugger who fits your description" , so I said "okay I'll do it".

If I could have any one car again, I wish I could have my Grand National again. It was de-badged (by PO) so anyone who didn't know better was in for a surprise. I'm a sucker for the older cars, not much on the new stuff personally. Not saying that I can't like them, I wouldn't put my money into one though. The GTR would get my money over a Vette, I agree with Jack there. When it comes to car or bike, I'd rather have a car. There isn't much utility in a bike, it's strictly for fun.

the best my Talon ran was 6.97 @ 102mph in the 1/8 -- the 1000cc bikes would get ahead at lower MPH but up top I would gain and pass them back they just don't have the torque to overcome the wind resistance at high speed.

Those talons run really well. What color was your talon?

DSM's run fine 60% of the time 100% of the time lol. I have a buddy with a very fast white one who races. He is a mechanic......if not you shouldn't have a DSM. Truth.

I agree with that! I daily drove it like that for two years only thing I ever broke was shift forks for 1st to 2nd gear.
