What did you pick up today?

Doesn't fit in the other categories? Maybe just want to post up some humor or random happening? This is the place for it.

This thing is unreal. Not an expensive instrument, but goddam if i could make something like this! Haha I look at the little pieces and wonder what it looks like on the inside. She saw me turning it over and looking at it closely and said "please don't take it apart."

Haha no. I've never held one until tonight. I actually haven't played an instrument since elementary school band (I played the saxamaphone).

Working on it though, found a site that's basically "banjo for dummies". Wife plays all kinds of instruments, she can pick a new one up and rattle off a tune after messing around with it for a minute or two. She was begging me all evening "can I just see it for a second?" When I finally handed it over, guess what? She pick n rolled for a couple minutes and sounded amazing. She also has never held a banjo.

I can play a pretty dang good down beat on the 460 Rowland and then move straight over to the 22 Mag for some tenor accompaniment when I need to. :llama:
