Glock applies for patent for carbine rifle...
Saw this on YT, 1st on ar-15.com’s channel. Then looked up this video.
I’m interested, to say the least. Assuming a civilian version, of course.

Seems like a good idea. Unfortunately, to be competitive, they should have designed this to “work around “ the impending US laws so the upper AND lower don’t have to be serialized. ( I know neither the upper nor the lower receiver of an ar-15 meet the requirements to be quantified as a gun).Gunsmokin wrote:Saw this on YT, 1st on ar-15.com’s channel. Then looked up this video.

If it were some start-up company trying to get in the game, I would say no. But, it’s Glock. Who knows if it will ever make it to market, realistically. I suppose their marketing and R&D know. I’m just interested to see if they have some new innovations that make their platform preferable to the others. If they actually produce a rifle, and it is a civilian version, and it isn’t FN SCAR priced, I would probably jump in on it.Elkins45 wrote:Does the world really need another maker of AR type rifles?

But does it take Glock mags?
There are criminals among us who are both homicidal and incorrigible. Their parents took a shot at civilizing them and failed. Their school teachers took a shot at them and failed. The odds are overwhelming that government welfare programs and penal institutions took a shot at them and failed. If it ever becomes your turn to take a shot at them, don’t fail.
