That's a definite plus. The guy next to me in the loud Camaro/mustang etc...will likely be stopped first haha. No one would ever look at this car and think, "that's fast". lol

LOL I have had my red mustang for almost two years. no tickets and I drive it everyday to work like I stole it...

back when I drove the 4 door white honda accord the same way, I would get at least a ticket every year...

You are saying you are unlucky or you are stating white 4 door honda accords generally get pulled over for speeding more than red mustangs?

Funny story from a few years ago: I was doing 85mph in my Focus in the 65mph area on I65 at Fern Valley. Right where it went to 55mph was a LMPD Mustang taking radar. I slowed down and was ready to pull over and get ticket but to my surprise he got the little red car (Don't know make or model just seen the color) that I passed just a minute earlier. I know I was going faster, I just think that the red car stood out. My guess is that the officer was using the Stalker RADAR and had to pick and choose who was speeding.

I've had that happen before, but in reverse. Someone passed me then tucked in right on my front bumper so I got a speeding and tailgating ticket.

Really the only expensive thing on this car, seems to be the 4C active ride control (the struts). Looks like they are about $300-400 each. Before I bought it, I researched all the common items: alternator, starter, battery, wheel bearings, clutch, brakes, gaskets etc...

Mostly it's pretty comparable to a Toyota. I have a lot of experience with the Yotas for sure.

For what it's worth I own a 15 year-old S80--first year of the new body style. Drove it for ten years, then loaned it to my father-in-law, who still has it.

I don't recall any major part replacements. The one minor annoyance is that it seems to go through signal bulbs at a fairly rapid rate; I used to keep spare bulbs in the glove box.

They're good cars. When we first got it (in Germany) we took a trip to Vienna. My wife was driving, and while the ride was great, I was a little disappointed at the minor wind noise. Then I looked at the speedometer and learned she'd set cruise control at 115 mph.

Yeah when I had my shop open, I never could make much money off volvo's. They never needed anything. I just figured I'd price out the most likely things to fail so I could know what to expect.

Oh yeah...Got my first Mustang Kill Friday. White 98-ish GT with a manual. He turned right, off US-60 onto Freedoms Way and I saw it kick the ass end sideways. I turned almost immediately after him and just as his rubber hooked up. He stayed on it hard but I pulled past him in 3rd gear in a very convincing fashion. As I passed him I looked over and he was smiling and shaking his head like "no way". The feeling was exhilarating. It probably was nothing to gloat about, as I don't believe that year Mustang had the PI heads yet. Oh well...a kill is a kill.

Also I just ordered a front mount intercooler friday. Next up is downpipe and exhaust. Then a tune for 400 ponies.

2 1/2" pipe replaced the catalytic converter and resonator all the way back to a Borla XR1 muffler.

Front mount intercooler installed.

Now I just need an ecm tune/flash to be sitting at 400hp.
