Academy has them on sale this week for $399.99. Was hoping to find one thru a private-party before buying new. I may have more luck finding a unicorn!!

Ya, what WLJ said. I have two Henry Big Boys, one in 357 mag and the other in 44 mag. Love them, wont sell them. Would like to find the 45 colt to complete the hat trick, and pick up little brother golden boy, too.

I bought a Henry Big Boy in .357 a few months ago, found it new-in-box for $630 OTD. Absolutely love this rifle and will never consider selling it. Action is butter smooth and the rifle feels really good on the shoulder. Since buying it I have determined that I need a Henry lever action .22lr to go with it. Never have wanted a lever action .22 until now.
