WTB Pistol caliber carbine

Post by gruntmedik » Sun Apr 01, 2012 4:28 pm

I'm looking for a pistol caliber carbine. Prefer 9mm, but open to 40 S&W or 45acp. Looking to spend less than $400, hopefully much less.

That rules everything but the Kel-Tec SUB-2000 and Hi Points.
There are criminals among us who are both homicidal and incorrigible. Their parents took a shot at civilizing them and failed. Their school teachers took a shot at them and failed. The odds are overwhelming that government welfare programs and penal institutions took a shot at them and failed. If it ever becomes your turn to take a shot at them, don’t fail.

I got to try out my G21 kit yesterday and I was totally thrilled with it. Everyone who tried it was surprised at how accurate and how well it ran. These kits are available for all Glock platforms except the sub-compacts, and 1911 pattern pistols. If you already own the pistol, the upper can be had fairly inexpensively, although a bit more than your $400 target. Mine was worth every penny I spent on it.

That's what I was thinking, but not sure if anything else was out there. I'm not opposed to either of those, but would like to hear from those who have them.

I have a SUB-2000 in 9mm and another in .40 - both Glock magazine configurations. I love the simplicity of the blow back design (reliable and maintainable), and the light weight. Sharing high capacity Glock mags with pistols... priceless!

Like most Kel-Tec stuff lately, they can't make them fast enough to meet market demand, so trying to buy one can be frustrating.

Disclaimer - I manufacture and sell accessories for the SUB-2000, so I'm a bit biased. :)

i have one of the old style hi point carbines in 40 cal. it has never once failed to perform perfectly. i have added the laser that high point sells and a red dot to it and still have less than 300 invested in it. they make fun range toys, the only draw back that some guys have said they did not like is they are limited to 10 rnd mags and as of yet i have not found anyone making larger ones for them.

Get a high point!!
