sold
Camera:
*D5100 body in excellent shape
*1 battery
*MH-24 quick charger (wall mount)
*Nikon camera/accessory bag
*48 LED Ring Light (lens attachment) with multiple color filters.
*Nikon brand neck strap
*32gb Toshiba Flashair card (makes wireless photo transfer possible on a camera not made to do so)
*Cheat cards for all the best settings using this camera and the lenses below, from a professional photographer
Lenses:
*AF-S DX Zoom-NIKKOR 18-70mm f/3.5-4.5G IF-ED
*Front lens cap but no rear cap
*zoom ring is a little sticky at first but smooths out and still takes good pictures. Despite this, it's still my go to daily lens.
*AF-S NIKKOR 50mm f/1.8G
*front and rear lens caps
*draw string pouch
*lens hood
*near mint condition (used twice)
For all the above I've spent about $900 over the last year and a half. I'm looking to sell because I found something else I want. Cash price is 400 OBO. Trade value is $500. I'd rather have cash but maybe you have something I want.

A cop stopped me on the street and said "we're looking for a mugger who fits your description" , so I said "okay I'll do it".

Re: Nikon D5100 DSLR camera and extras
Hope this picture shows up. It's the camera body with the 55-300 lens, fully extended and with the hood on.

I sure wish I was skilled enough at photography to justify a purchase like this. I love taking pictures. I just suck at it. Good luck with your sale.

Re: Nikon D5100 DSLR camera and extras
Which reminds me. I purchased cheat cards from photographer Moose Winans. I have printed out, laminated copies of all the best settings for different types of photography. I'm not skilled at photography either but man, the money for these cheat cards was money well spent. The cards will come with the camera.iron369 wrote:I sure wish I was skilled enough at photography to justify a purchase like this. I love taking pictures. I just suck at it. Good luck with your sale.

Re: Nikon D5100 DSLR camera and extras
Here are the types of photo settings that are included in the cheat cards. Just the table of contents to them. To be clear, I purchased cheat cards for the 50mm 1.8 lens and then a separate batch of cheat cards for the 55-300mm lens. Buyer gets both sets.

Re: Nikon D5100 DSLR camera and extras $475
Photography isn't hard to learn or enjoy, just difficult to master... learn a few rules, and keep doing what you like until you know when to break the rules. Somebody pick this up, it's a great camera package for a great deal.

Yep that's a great guide. Plus like I said before, I've got the cheat sheets to help anyone else new like me. Over time the cheat sheets have got me to recognize more about what aperture, shutter speed and ISO do and how they effect the photo.Whootsinator wrote:Photography isn't hard to learn or enjoy, just difficult to master... learn a few rules, and keep doing what you like until you know when to break the rules.
