Probably election year panic, everybody is trying to get their form in to process before Nov
There are criminals among us who are both homicidal and incorrigible. Their parents took a shot at civilizing them and failed. Their school teachers took a shot at them and failed. The odds are overwhelming that government welfare programs and penal institutions took a shot at them and failed. If it ever becomes your turn to take a shot at them, don’t fail.

Last year they lost 2 examiners.
Not sure what happened but due to the hiring freeze, they haven't been replaced.
Then they decided that breaking things into regions might help but with the influx of forms 1-4 things have backed up.
Right now the turnaround for our region is about 5 months.
Luckily for us Dana Pickles is relatively fast, all things considered.

Is that 5 months from "pending" or submission? It quite often takes 30 or so days just to make it to "pending" status.

I'm at 5 months pending almost to the day. Hopefully stamp is approved soon. I'm really getting tired of waiting.

If this runs true, then my CAC-9 should be approved sometime in Mid-May.
I love playing with NFA toys, but I damned sure get tired of waiting for them.

Because of flat budgets or even cuts in 2012 and 2013 managers across the government are freezing or curtail hiring.325MOUTguru wrote:Last year they lost 2 examiners.

My Agency will only now hire 1 person for every 2 that leave.
Across the board, this is leaving many thousands of vacancies open indefinitely.
Thank your congress critters for running our country into the ground.

Do the Full Auto now!Toddinlou wrote:I should do a SBR but I want to do full auto
Don't wait.
They are not getting any cheaper & they are not making anymore that is available to the public.
The internet has done some great things for the firearm industry, but it has let the cat out of the bag on the "relative ease" in acquiring NFA items.
Full Auto prices will continue to climb.
