reversing the NFA on supressors?
I know it's come up in discussion constantly, the NRA even wrote an article on the absurdness of the law and compared other countries' laws with them, and showed the positives of using them- no neighbor complaints, taxable revenue, blah,blah,blah...
Has any substantial work been done to do anything with this, politically speaking?

I seriously doubt it will ever come to fruition. Not for practical reasons, but political reasons. You know how we already have access to these high power assault rifles.Could you imagine the unfettered access to military grade silencers that special forces and hitmen use.Never happen. Not in my lifetime. If it were to happen it would have been in the more gun friendly past.Thats history now.

If it happens, you'll know because you'll see me running through the street of Louisville to the nearest gun shop to empty my bank account for new cans without a 6-8 month waiting period.

Re: reversing the NFA on supressors?
only reason I refuse to buy one is I could not wait that long for the paperwork to go through. I am all about instant gratification. If I buy something online I am checking the tracking number a dozen times a day to see if it is any closer. 6-8 months I would go insane!
this is a damn computer age a background check should not take that long. I would have problem with the $200 tax stamp if it were an immediate turn around OR maybe a week for the stamp to arrive at the dealer.

Don't think they'll do away with having to wait for stamps etc. but have heard that they will do away with Cleo sign off. Which is one less hoop to jump thru. Maybe slowly they will make it like purchasing a firearm but with the wait for the stamp. Doubt it though
