they were threatened with DOD and other Fed agencies pulling their contracts if they didn't wait until after the election.

Can you substantiate that? I'm not trying to be argumentative, I'm just curious how it came to light.

I actually saw a couple stories on the news. One of the corporate bigwigs at Grumman aero was complaining because they were going to have to break labor laws by NOT telling employees they knew that layoffs were coming. Dear Leader promised them immunity and reimbursement for any legal costs.

I do know that a company I use to do consultant work for has decided to shut completely down, rehire 49 employees and start over just doing small jobs. They have 1100 emp at this time, it is a shame they will be getting layed of before Thanksgiving.
