I’m not comfortable with the thought of most 21 year olds voting. I remember being passionate about politics at 21 and could not see past one or two issues to make a decision based on what I thought the country needed. They don’t have life experience from which to base their decision making. There are criminals among us who are both homicidal and incorrigible. Their parents took a shot at civilizing them and failed. Their school teachers took a shot at them and failed. The odds are overwhelming that government welfare programs and penal institutions took a shot at them and failed. If it ever becomes your turn to take a shot at them, don’t fail.

18 is not a protected age group, at federal level anyway.
Law suit based on state law, federal law allows FFL to make tougher rules than the federal code.

that is true but the courts may still see it as discrimination. 18 is federal law and can vote and join military so should be able to have the federal right.

The guy suing is 20, and I believe he has a good shot at this suit due to his states anti discrimination laws being based off of age.
