The source, who is involved in the enforcement efforts, confirmed to Fox News there was a direct order from the mayor to her police chief Monday night, effectively tying the hands of officers as they were pelted with rocks and bottles.

Asked directly if the mayor was the one who gave that order, the source said: "You are God damn right it was."

So did he have a gun on him? This is the first i have heard of this story i think and just from what the article said this "kid" and the officer were fighting over the officers gun (which this in itself seems to warrant deadly force). But as you said the media spins it anyway they can to demonize the officer. Im sure the kid was on his way to choir practice or to help the elderly.

Doesn't make one lick pf difference to the those wishing to use this as an excuse to loot and to those using this for political and monetary gain. They're still going around to this day claiming that Zimmerman chased down and shot Martin while he (Martin) was on the ground and that Brown was shot while holding his hands up yelling don't shoot despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary in both cases.
