Agreed. I had an argument with a "friend" a while back about the whole welfare food stamps BS. His argument was that as a civilized society it is the govs job (aka tax payer) to take care of (not fully dependent but "help") those who cant do better in life. We all know some people just dont have the mental fortitude or whatever to make it past "fry cook" status in life. First i told him that no it is not anyone's obligation to "help" those people and it damn sure isnt ok for the gov to force me to give to charity. Also told him that the gov took over the jobs of churches and non profits in that respect long ago because they saw the potential for buying votes. He had no real argument to that so he changed the subject. He will still vote dem because he is uninformed.

Nothing really earth-shattering here. Libs generally think everyone else is stupid and helpless and can never be self-sufficient without gov't handouts. They claim it's out of compassion that we should all fall in line to accept the confiscation of rightful earnings. Get people dependent on a check, they will keep voting for the provider of the check so it doesn't go away. Pure and total corruption of the entire political system is their aim. If they succeed, which IMO they are on the verge of doing, the 2 party system will be over. Queue the re-education camps.
