LOUISVILLE, Ky. -
Louisville Metro Police are responding to community concerns over a threatening flier about a violent crime spree.
It's based on the movie "The Purge," in which all crime is legalized for 12 hours.
The poster claims a purge will happen between 8:30 p.m. Friday and 6:30 a.m. Saturday.
Officers are taking precaution by preparing a plan of action.
"We take any threat seriously and fortunately we're hoping that nothing happens as a result, but we're prepared in case something does," said LMPD spokesman Dwight Mitchell.
Officers will be in place this weekend at events like the Kentucky State Fair.

Obviously if someone did come up with this bright idea, they aren't too faithful to the movie. 830-630 is only 10 hours
