I guess the places that depend on EBT card spenders for their daily income are going to be huring on that day that shopping is boycotted...Shabazz continued by revealing a national “day of action” scheduled for April 9, a day before a grand jury is scheduled to begin hearing the case.
“This Saturday in Sanford, Florida the New Black Panther Party will be conducting county-wide and state-wide defense training and community patrols to protect against racial violence and attacks, and people like Zimmerman…” he said.
“[Then] On Monday, April 9 we have teamed up with over 300 organizations in a national and international coalition and are calling for a national strike…and a day of absence, where there is no work, no school, and no shopping in the cause of justice for Trayvon and the immediate arrest of Zimmerman and charging him with the appropriate charges.”
Sorry, that was callous, but I could not help myself.
Anyway, do you think that patrols of Black Panthers will help to curb this fictitious race violence? Do you think they will do anything to stop violence within their own community?
I have told this story before, but back in the 80's there was a march through a county near me where only white folks lived. Jesse Jackson organized the march (and did for years). This particular year, my father helped arrest 3 white (trash) fellers that were cussing, throwing things, at the peaceful protestors and such.
These feller were well known as trouble in the community, and this was not their first brush with he law. each of these fellers had hundreds of dollars of cash in their pockets, and it was just very unusual for them to be in possession of that kind of coin. Their story, individually interrogated, was that a couple "colored fellas" gave them money and booze if they would start up some trouble. No way to prove it, but no reason to not believe them.
When America started to move beyond the ideal of segregation folks like Jesse Jackson had to start manufacturing a problem to maintain their relevance. There can never be justice with people like him "leading" the black community.
