Video show a man walking up to the vehicle and firing a few shots from a handgun.
Cue the dems knee jerk reaction.
Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden on Sunday called for gun control less than 24 hours after two Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies who were critically wounded in Compton after a gunman opened fire on their squad car in an apparent ambush.

Weapons of war have no place in our communities.

We need to ban assault weapons and high-capacity magazines.

It was your supporter so there is that. How about you make your side give up theirs and then all the crime with them will be done? Seems logical and fair to me.

Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony is one of classical music’s most famous works.

But to many, it’s also a symbol of elitism and exclusion.

Listen to @SwitchedOnPop and @nyphil explain why: https://t.co/FbDrWFTsRu

— Vox (@voxdotcom) September 15, 2020
OK, why? Nate Sloan and Charlie Harding start with the theory that the symphony is “a metaphor for Beethoven’s personal resilience in the face of his oncoming deafness” (a pretty common belief) and take it from there:

Or rather, that’s long been the popular read among wealthy white men who embraced Beethoven and turned his symphony into a symbol of their superiority and importance. For others — women, LGBTQ+ people, people of color — Beethoven’s symphony is predominantly a reminder of classical music’s history of exclusion and elitism. One New York City classical music fan wrote in the 1840s, for example, that he wished that “all women shall be gagged by officers duly licensed for the purpose before they’re allowed to enter a concert room.”

Today, some aspects of classical culture are still about policing who’s in and who’s out, and it all started with Beethoven’s Fifth. When you walk into a standard concert hall, there’s an established set of conventions and etiquette (“don’t cough!”; “don’t cheer!”; “dress appropriately!”) that’s more about demonstrating belonging than appreciating the music.

Show me one who would claim offense to it and I'll show you a person who couldn't tell the difference from beethoven to Peter Frampton. Just something else for you all to accept to see how low and dumb you will drop yourself to in order to appease the troublemakers.

Was nothing but feel good bull shit vote with no teeth behind it. They literally said they wouldn't remove him but instead wanted to figure out how to work together to solve the problems. Pandering to idiots at best. Jeff Co should have a vote of no confidence against the council next.

"The right to vote is fundamental to our democracy and no American should be denied that right," a Bloomberg spokesperson told the news.

No you morons, they gave up the right when they did something bad enough to get a felony as you know removes your right to vote.

Can't make this stuff up
Did @realDonaldTrump just say 545 kids they can't find their parents for came over through "cartels and coyotes"?! How the hell does a coyote bring a whole human across the border?! Lord—–stop talking. #FinalDebate

Imagine calling the immigrant parents that bring their children to the United States for a better life “Coyotes”

The level of xenophobia is sickening.

Funny how some law maker in Georgia said the same thing.

Poor? Addicted to drugs? Mentally ill? Say hello to your get out of jail card.
What could possibly go wrong?
The Seattle City Council is considering new legislation that would create a legal loophole that would make substance addiction, mental illness or poverty a valid legal defense for nearly all misdemeanor crimes committed in the city.
If approved, the ordinance would excuse and dismiss -- essentially legalizing -- almost all misdemeanor crimes committed in Seattle by offenders who could show either:

Symptoms of addiction without being required to provide a medical diagnosis;
Symptoms of a mental disorder; or
Poverty and the crime was committed to meet an "immediate and basic need." For example, if a defendant argued they stole merchandise to sell for cash in order to purchase food, clothes or was trying to scrape together enough money for rent. The accused could not be convicted.
I guess if you're an alcoholic this would mean that you could walk into any liquor store and just steal a bottle or two whenever you felt like it.
