Re: What did you cook today?
Lobster and scallops definitely sounds better than my dinner. Sardines and medium boiled eggs. I cooked the eggs so it qualifies here.

Did you drop it in the charcoal? That thin looks like it was mining coal in eastern Kentucky for the last 20 years. Geezssracer wrote:When you just have to cook for yourself…

Close. Air fryer. It was over cooked, but they were too thin. Still ate’em. I did premelt the butter in the microwave.ssracer wrote:That looks like microwaved steak..loliron369 wrote:Here’s the 2 little things ribeyes I had for lunch today before starting another 72hour fast. Re: What did you cook today?
Mongolian beef.
I rarely measure ingredients so these are just guesstimates. I could have probably used a little more garlic & soy & a little less ginger. Use the chili sauce to increase the heat to your desired level. Mine was at the make your nose run but too hot level. lol.
Picked up thin sliced beef for carne asada @ meijer.
Coated that with corn starch
Splash of oil. I used olive oil since that’s what I usually cook with.
1/3 cup oyster sauce
1/3 cup soy sauce
2 tablespoons garlic
1 teaspoon ginger
1/3 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons chili garlic sauce
2 large sweet onions halved & sliced
Broccoli & snow peas
Sliced drained water chestnuts
A cup of water.
I served it over jasmine rice but would have also been good with noodles.
Brown the beef in the oil
Remove & add another splash of oil & everything except the broccoli & snow peas. Cook until onions are translucent & add the beef back in. Cook until you start getting a thick sauce, may need to add more water. Add broccoli & snow peas a few minutes before you think it’s ready.
