DPMS 308
DPMS 308
Looking for a decent scope for my 308. It's only a 16" barrel so it's not going to be a long range toy, but does need to get me out to the 300-400 yard mark. I would like to stay under 200 bucks. Any input would be much appreciated.

+1 on this- I have a 3.5-10 x 50 Diamondback that is perfect for intermediate ranges like that.

I have been running one of these on an ar15 i shoot a bunch, its tracked well and the glass gets the job done. FFP mil/mil , decent scope. If you dont spin the knobs, the redfield has about the best budget glass but lacks features.

I have quite a few Nikon but all .223 stuff. Never any issues and I like them

You can't beat Vortex warranty. As quick as Leupold. I had a 2-7× that I got on a trade. The magnification ring was faulty, due to being over tightened at some time. They sent a new scope within a week. No questions asked. No receipt either. I use Leupold whenever possible, however I have no problem with Vortex in use either.
