EDC fleshlight

Post by Toecutter1978 » Tue Jun 09, 2015 8:38 am

My EDC light keeps breaking, I run a Pelican 1920. Either it will drain batts in one, two days or the push button switch just stops working. Pelican has a lifetime warranty, which I have used countless times. I am tired of sending it in to receive another that will break in a couple of months. I want a light that is easy to carry in a pocket, with a clip. Uses small batteries, thinking AAA to keep diameter size down. Prefer the on/off switch be harder to turn on than the occasional bump that it would receive in a front pocket that LEDs to draining the batteries. Also, price is a huge consideration, I can not justify a huge investment, if lost which does happen, I do not want to regret it.

Price wise, I'm thinking under $50, that will be the ceiling.

Streamlight 88033 Protac Tactical Flashlight 2AA with White LED Includes 2 "AA" Alkaline Batteries and Holster, Black " onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

How about this? I don't like the price of CR123 batteries. I don't have anything else that runs on them.

My streamlight stylus pro gets used and carried daily. I've had it for over 2 years.

Same here. It's wore down to bare metal in some spots.

I started out with the 1910, then Pelican upgraded me to the 1920, stating it was a better light. Same issues. I think the thumb button is easily depressed and allows the LED to suck power without actually producing light. I attempted this by letting one sit on the headboard off. After it sitting for four days without being disturbed, the batteries were dead. I know the lady didn't exchange batteries, because I told her what I was doing. I also marked them.

This may be a lil small judging by what all yee are carrying but does everything I need a pocket light for.
Streamlight micro stream, and has a reversible clip for pocket carry or the bill of a cap.

Never had a problem with my 1920 but had a stylish pro break before the first set of batteries died. I use rechargeable batteries that last a long time so no worries if they ever drained anyways. I don't know which others are good that fit your bill but I see some options they listed are too big to be edc lights imo.
