-CHEAP- Crye All Weather Field Pants

Post by Whootsinator » Sun Feb 08, 2015 2:54 am

Limited quantity, limited sizes. Sizes run mostly true if not slightly big. If in between sizes, order DOWN, not up.

http://www.sportsmansguide.com/product/ ... ?a=1800848

Sportsmans Guide has Crye All Weather Field Pants that are not labeled as Crye pants. Instead they're labeled as generic Military Surplus Pants. From people who have ordered, they are new in the bag with Crye tags. These are $263 new from Crye. http://www.cryeprecision.com/P-APRFPF02 ... t%E2%84%A2

Note these are not standard uniform pants. These are 4-way stretch soft shell pants designed to stand up to abuse and shed rain. They won't keep you dry in a spring storm.

I'd buy two pairs if I didn't have skinny man syndrome. 34 is too big for me.

I just clicked the link and saw they are still $80! Anyone in this thread or who buys these (cosplay or adult dress up pants) as others call them for $80 will be banned from ever mentioning something is too high priced or not worth it ever again.

My opinions are no better than anyone else's. But they are my opinions.

It's too short to worry about anything that's of no material consequence.

And it's too short to not see humor, wherever you find it.

I get most of you are making jokes or don't agree with spending $80 on pants, and that's cool. I'd still like to reiterate the fact that these aren't simple 50/50 NYCO BDU/ACU style uniform pants. They're very high quality, high performance, Berry compliant, technical pants made from expensive 4-way stretch softshell material and then DWR treated, produced by a small US company that makes some of the best 'tactical' gear on the planet. Moreover, the MSRP price is not much higher than high end civilian sportswear softshell pants made in Taiwan/China/Malaysia/Philippines, etc.

At $80 they are a steal for what they are. Whether you can make proper use of them, and thereby warrant their cost, is up to you. If they had my size I'd probably pick up two or thre pairs and use the hell out of all of them.
