Picked up a Mag-Iite xl100 yesterday. I have been wanting one of these for years. Never picked one up because I don't like ordering stuff online. Saw this one on clearance at Bud's in lexington.
The xl100 can tell how it is held in your hand. What ever mode is at 12 o'clock position when you turn it on is what is activated. The speed of the sos flash and strobe flash can be adjusted by simply rotating your hand. The night light mode turns the light down to about 1 lumen and when it senses motion, it pops on to high.
I think this would be a very handy light for camping. I haven't had much luck with the 3 triple a light pods being rugged enough for daily carry.
