Next rimfire. Opinions wanted

Okay so I have a little extra cash and am going to use it to buy another gun. Right now I am thinking the best bang for my buck would be a rimfire.

Looking into the ruger charger takedown, or the savage FVSR. I know savage will be quieter but ruger seems to be more fun.

Will ruger run subsonic Ammo? What are your opinions. Savage is a little cheaper.

I have both 10/22 and the savage. I like the savage the best for a host. Your welcome to try them.

I think Chargers are football bat ruhtarded, but a suppressed FVSR is some of the most fun I've ever had.

Haha ya we are doing okay right now. Got some bonus money that I have been holding and got rear ended and it did like no damage but still got a 1200 settlement so save half and spend half

Savage FVSR and a new stock. Add suppressor and you WILL have the most fun gun in your collection.

There is no debating this. Just do it and thank us later.

This has been discussed multiple times and still people try and dispute it. They are wrong. Buy the FVSR! haha

What he said. Love both my .22lr & .22 WMR. You would hate them, though, too boring shooting one hole groups all the time.

Crush, kill, mangle, maim, destroy.

We'll just have to agree to disagree. (Although I have no need for the takedown version.)

To answer a question asked in the OP, I shoot CCI subsonic hollow points through this all the time.

What stock is that? Subs cycle the action?

FVSR is terrific with a suppressor, and really good without it.

That thing looks like a blast! Every time I have myself talked out of a Charger something cool as shit like this makes me reconsider...haha I'm assuming that if those cycle, CCI Standard Velocity's do as well?

Yep. Of course, none of the CB or "Quiet" (CBs by another name) rounds will.

I don't mind the factory fvsr stock at all. I've seen a few suggestions on the metal plate. What is that supposed to fix? Fortunately I've had zero issues out if mine.

You only need bottom metal when replacing the stock. It is how you mount the action in the stock. It doesn't fix anything per se but is a necessity when changing stocks from factory. Factory stock has bottom metal (plastic) built in to the stock.

I filled my factory stock with expanding foam; it gave it a more solid feel.

I upgrade the stocks on mine because they would flex, a lot, when I'd sling up to shoot off hand. The new stocks were a vast improvement, and worth every penny they cost me.

Crush, kill, mangle, maim, destroy.
