My plinker...

Post by KYGlassman » Sun Mar 11, 2012 7:08 pm

I got this rifle secondhand with the BC folder already installed...not a big fan myself. I've lost my taste for the tacticool stuff. I like purdy wood.

So I polished all the factory paint out of the receivers, polished the guide rod, free floated the barrel and added a threaded brass collar so that now I have an adjustable pressure pad in the front of the stock, of course I ditched the barrel band. I got a 3" long .25 inch drywall anchor and cut it down to replace the factory steel bolt buffer.

I sent the bolt to "que" on rimfirecentral.com to for headspacing, jeweling, pinning of firing pin and a bit of machining off the rear part of the bolt.

I sent the trigger group to brimstone gunsmithing for an overtravel stop, VQ wider trigger and polishing to reduce trigger pull down to 2.75 pounds.

I added Tech Sights...love em'.

Best shooter I own.
