Re: Stoeger 3000 issues
A mix of factory loaded Estate and Fed #8 shot for the 2 3/4 and Fed steel BB for the 3" (I think they were BB). 1 Estate and 1 Fed fte. Not bad at all for a cheap shotty with lots of heave loads run through it. I'd still like it to be a little more reliable than that even. Not sure where else to look at this point though. 2 failures in just over 200 rds is fine to play with, but I'd want it to be a little better to trust it in comp, be it 3gun, sporting clays or whatever... Thanks for all the suggestion also! Other than ammo I have just under $6 invested in parts...haha A few hours of tinkering with it.
Re: Stoeger 3000 issues
Find what ammo it likes and runs best and stick with it. Some FTE can be your position. Depending how you hold it it can short stroke or FTE. Reason is because it is an inertia system and it needs the momentum to cycle.

I hold it very solid like a rifle. I don't give with it like you see some people do with shotguns. I'll have to try more options with it. I hope to be shooting more clays with it.
