Stevens 620 Trench Gun Replica.
My Stevens 620 WW2 Trench Gun replica. I got it as 28 in barreled Stevens 620 at a pawn shop. Shortened the barrel and I installed a replica heat shield with bayonet lug and sling swivel. I cleaned it up and lubed it for probably the first time in years. I need to pick up a rear sling loop and mount, (Springfield 03 should work) A 1917 bayonet and a leather military sling for it. It is not in bad shape for a pre WW2 shotgun.
These are a takedown shotguns. The barrel and magazine tube slide out the bottom of the receiver. Very unusual. I can't believe the machine work on these is so good for one that is so old. After cleaning it locks up like a vault. With John Browning designing it how could it not be great.
The next project is a Stevens 520. The old hump back shot gun.
