S&W model 60 2"
really thinking about trying to pick one of these up for a summer carry and to wear on an ankle holster at work.. anyone have experience with them? last revolver I owned was a S&W 681 4". looking for info on trigger pull, controllability and how comfortable it is to shoot. Thanks for the help! also considering getting one for the wife too so any input from the ladies on that would be great as well.

Re: S&W model 60 2"
I have a 3" model 60 - really like it. Everyone should own a model at some point in their career
One thing to note is that it may be a J frame but it is not aluminum or scandium frame so it might be on the on the heavy side for ankle carry. I use it for carry some, but never have on the ankle LOL. YMMV
If you find the 60 to be too heavy, you might try a 442 or 642 both hammerless, or something like them with a hammer if that is your preference.
Of course, as a range gun, the model 60 is much nicer, due to the weight versus the light framed models. I find I shoot it very well.
Hope this helps.

It is hardly too strong to say that the Constitution was made to guard the people against the dangers of good intentions. There are men in all ages who mean to govern well, but they mean to govern. They promise to be good masters, but they mean to be masters. - Daniel WebsterMexican Kerry wrote:Except for Viv. Re: S&W model 60 2"
I agree with *everything* Viv said.
FWIW, I gave my older daughter my choice of all my J-frames, and she chose my 60-7. I still miss it.
Thankfully, my other daughter opted for a Model 63. If she had taken my other Model 60 (a 3" -4), I would have been very sad indeed.
