To complete this frame all that need be done are the slide rails, barrel seat and the two rear pin holes. THERE IS NO FFL REQUIRED PER BATFE SPECIFICATIONS. If you had the extra parts laying around, I believe this is just a frame with a grip. No barrel, guts, etc. I may be wrong but I was merely posting this for the information on how much it would cost to have the frame Confirmed by the BATF and get a serial number.

It is an incomplete frame. More milling is necessary to make is usable.

Just my opinion, but building your own is not "cheap". Sure you can do it yourself, but at the risk of making a mistake you can't undo (especially on the frame). If it includes final machining that you need to pay someone else to do, you aren't into an economy pistol any more, you're having one built for you. I've built a couple 1911s on "80%" frames, luckily the only work I had to do to the frame was fine tuning the frame rails and trigger channel. Anything beyond that would have been too much for me. Some of you have seen my pistol work haha.

Not trying to sound discouraging, it is a fun way to learn the ins and outs of the 1911 (and sometimes very frustrating). Just saying there are cheaper/easier routes if you gotta have one.

You can not make a firearm to sell unless you are licensed to do so

What if you make it to keep originally but then years down the road, you decide that you want to sell it? Are you not allowed to ever sell that gun that you made yourself?

you can also buy 80% AR lowers

you can get a set of RAW AR upper and lower forgings for like $50. I've thought about doing that for paper weights...lol
