Sig P365

I waited on picking one of these up due to all the early issues. Black Friday I decided it was time to snag one up and I’m glad I did.

When I brought it home I broke it down, have everything a quick wipe and lubed the barrel and rails with Battle Born Gun Grease. Over the next few weeks I made three trips to the range with it, no cleaning of any type in between. Rounds fired each trip were 250, 420 and 434 for a total of 1,104. I shot mostly Freedom Munitions New FMJ, 115 and 147 grain as well as some assorted HPs from Hornady, Winchester and Federal. Not a single malfunction of any kind.

I love the way this thing shoots...it really shoots like a bigger gun. But it’s virtually the same size (or smaller) as the G43....but with more capacity. And the factory sights are very similar to what I upgraded my Glock sights to.

Tonight was a full clean and lube. I installed a Foxtrot light and picked up a holster from sig (blackpoint tactica) and a mag carrier from Concealment Express. (Got a bama holster too but then I bought the light so I can’t use it). The G43 has now been sidelined.

So...thoughts on how it compares to the 43?

Personally I like it better in every way. From the factory it has a better trigger, better sights, better grip (less slick), and with the pinky extension on the 10 round mag it’s maybe a CM taller than the G43 with a TT +1 base plate and that’s just at the very tip of the mag. For me it shoots better too, recoil seems a little better managed.

I bought mine, put a drop of oil on the rails and trigger assembly, then went straight into the range. I shot some wwb, and cheap perfecta ammo through mine, 150ish rounds. I also had no malfunctions. On a side note, the perfecta ammo shot one helluva fireball out if the muzzle. Felt pretty hot for cheap ammo. I also seemed to shoot an inch or two low and to the left pretty consistently. I'm guessing operator error
I will work on my grip and trigger finger placement next time out.

I had the pleasure of shooting one that my friend owned. I shot it well and thought it to be very accurate for a compact pistol.

I ditched the 43, and I'm a glock fan boy, more accurate, better trigger, smaller, more rounds, fits in my back pocket, with a sticky holster.

What holsters are you guys using for these things? I finally picked one up and I'm REEEEEEALLY liking it also. I don't care for the holster that came with the "Tacpac". I won't won't be adding lights or lazers or anything either.

I like the bravo concealment, but I haven’t tried many others because I felt like it fit my needs just fine
